Our principles
- Forward-bought, not spot-bought. We commit to volumes 12 months ahead, which gives producers planning visibility and reduces our exposure to commodity-price swings.
- Above C-market, always. Our 2025 average paid to producers was 38% above the C-market price for that lot's grade. We disclose this in our annual transparency report.
- Long relationships preferred. Eight of our current twelve producer relationships are 3+ years old. We've cut off two over the past four years for QA reasons.
- In-person visits. Caleb visits origin 6 weeks/year. We've visited every farm or cooperative we currently buy from at least once.
